MS Access is refusing to start.  It's the main program that I use.
Excel is also failing to start.
Backup up files and was confused about how I organized my backup drive.

Rebooted laptop.
I started Access and got message:
"Access failed to launch in safe mode.  Do you want to start repair."
I got that before and said yes, but it didn't seem to do anything.
This time it started and seems to be working.
~~  Excel asked me if I wanted to start in safe mode and I said yes, and it came up,
but safe mode, supposedly won't let me run programs.
I restarted Excel and it seemed to restart normally.

It's showing a black screen, although the mouse cursor appears and is movable.
The disk light shows activity.  I don't know why Microsoft can't figure out a way
to display a message to explain what's going on.

ASUS finally came up, but it seems to be showing the same symptoms that is was
showing before it was fixed.  Task manager shows NO processes running.
So, basically, I don't have a usable backup laptop.  The battery light shows
it's charging, but I don't know if it's actually accepting a charge because I
can't display the power meter.  But, eventually, the red light went out, implying
that the battery is fully charged.
~~  When I looked at App History on Task manager, it says it is showing the
usage history since 1/4/2065.

ask which register was open.  He said #3, but the belt was filled with empty candy cartons.
Meanwhile, several other people were right behind me and one gets into line at that register.
I get in line, and then another cashier comes and goes to the other register and the people
behind me get in that line.

It just opened at location that was originally a Moe's SW Grill and then a falafel place.
It was crowded, but I didn't have to wait to order.  The food was good, but maybe overpriced.

First, stopped at Dollar Tree;  There was only one woman ahead of me and it seemed like
she was almost finished, but then she wanted to exchange something and she needed to
show receipt.  

Her wallet was stuffed with hundreds of receipts and it seems that she finally found it, 
and then the cashier had to call the manager to the front and she  was taking her time. 

And now it was time to pay and it seemed that the customer concluded she didn't have enough 
cash so finding her credit card was taking time, but she found it, but then it seemed she
didn't know how to insert it into the reader.

Well, I yelled, "I'm leaving", and just  walked out with my 9 items on the belt.

After eating, I returned and looked through the window to see if it was still busy.  It wasn't 
so I went in.  They had put my stuff in a shopping basket so I was in and out very quickly.
