first got onto I-280 and then it told me to get off at a DIFFERENT surface street.  Maybe it was trying to 

take me away from an accident, but it should tell me that., So, I think that I lost a half hour.

(After I got home, I determined that west of Hobart it's called the Oak Savannah Trail.

The northeast part is called the Prairie Duneland Trail -- so it's still on my bucket list!)

My cyclometer wasn't working, which happens a lot when I take the

front wheel off and on.  Since I would be using the Bike My Ride app to measure, I decided to stop trying

to get it to work, but about 3/4 of the way through, it started working again.

It was a bit cool so I drove to the McD and went inside.  This was different from the

one I've been biking to, and I tried to order it without cheese on the app and it said

it wasn't available and I showed the error message to the manager and it confused her.

~~  We decided that I would order it WITH cheese on the app but she'd make sure it didn't

have cheese, so that worked, but I had to deal with the busy manager.  She said she'd

talk to her IT guy about getting it on the menu in the app, but I don't know if she'll

actually do that.

I asked the robot for her home address and "she" put me through to a human and I asked

for his home address.  He said he lived in my town and I said we should get together but

Things started a bit confusing because workmen were tearing down the facade

above the door where I'd expect an employee to come out to make a curbside delivery.

~~  So, I rode around to the other side and and the employee said they're not taking

orders at this window.  I said I know, but I'm a bit confused about whether curbside

delivery is occurring.  She assured me that it was -- they'd be going out another door.

So, then I asked if their wi-fi is working.  No.  So, I biked to the bank next door and

placed the order -- but I couldn't order a soda -- it said it wasn't available.

~~  When she came out with my order, I verified that it was NO cheese.  I took it

and then went to the Wendy's across the street for a Coke.  I could have ordered a free

senior Coke, but I felt guilty about doing that without ordering anything else, so I

ordered a small Coke -- and it was $2.29 -- so, whatever I saved because burritos 

are on sale at McD was lost!

~~  Then I biked to Skippy's to sit on their patio and when I started eating, I found

that my burritos had cheese -- even though they has special order stickers on them.

So, I returned to McD and had to sneak in between the cars are the drive-thru to

return the bad burritos.

~~  After I got the corrected order, I then decided to sit outside Naf Naf instead of

Skippy's.  They didn't bother me, but it seems that they open at 10a.

~~  On the way to McD, I had just crossed over the tollway.  I heard an explosion and turned around 

and saw some smoke.  I think the tire on a truck blew out, but it seems  that it didn't lose control.

I first went to McD but their regular wi-fi wasn't available.  I tried to use their EBos network, 

which I've successfully used in the past, however, I think they have set it to what was probably

their original intention for the 2nd network -- it's for employees.

~~  So, I went to Wendy's and tried to use the app, which I've only tried to use once and gave up on it.

I picked an offer and tried to continue, but it asked me to scan a code and I didn't know 

what that meant, the the employee was no help, and breakfast was going to be ending their in minutes,

so I left.

work was being done at the friend's place, but the neighbor said she had to call the police 

to the the "friend" out of her house after 2 days and the argument had something to do with

someone to bring out my order.  I saw her come out of the building and she seemed confused

because, looking through a construction fence covered in netting, she didn't see a car and

I don't know how well she could see me and my bike, but I waved.  After she passed the

fence, she still seemed astonished that there was a bike in the parking space.

~~  After, since the patio is  blocked, I took my food to Skippy's Gyros, which doesn't

open until 11a, and sat on their patio.

~~  Then, I went to Walgreen's to buy a sleep mask.  I got an e-mail this morning that

mentioned a coupon but I actually used another digital coupon and got $10 credit to use on

a future purchase.  Is this afternoon in the future?

restaurant, but, usually, there is a parking space right by the entrance, but the

strip mall parking lot was unusually crowded.

He asked me if I knew about Camp Bullfrog.  I didn't.  He said they have tons of 

great biking trails.  He said it's near Rocky Glen Waterfall (but I looked it up and they're 4.5 mi apart).  

There are only 2 waterfalls in DuPage Co, both in Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve which was named 

after Seymour Waterfall, an early president of the Forest Preserve District's 

Board of Commissioners.  The Rocky Glen Waterfall is manmade.  I've been there.  

~~  There is a natural waterfall in the same forest preserve.  It's the only natural one in DuPage Co.  

And, most of the time it's dry.  It's also inaccessible (except for the people who have a house where 

the waterfall is kind of in their extended backyard).

Tony doesn't realize that most of the trails there are "paved" with wood chips -- for hiking.

I had installed a new bike ride tracking app, Strava, that seemed to be highly-rated.

I decided that I don't like it.  It's too focused on trying to get you to subscribe

and also focused on sharing your ride (and other workouts) with teammates.

If the premium version has features that I want, I can't try them out with the trial version,

so that, along with the other things is resulting in me rejecting this app.

~~  So, I installed CycleDroid, the app that I had on my old phone, but it's not designed

for this version of Android, so, it seems incapable of obtaining a GPS signal -- which is

really weird.  I have a feeling that I'm not going to be able to find an app that is

satisfactory.  Meanwhile, Strava said I biked 11.8 mi, but my bike cyclometer said 12 mi.

the phone during the day.  I told him that he needs to figure out a method that he

can be comfortable with that will provide a reliable way for us to get in touch with him.

if he'll take that seriously.  I also asked him about having an ID -- not necessarily

an official one, but one that the police can use if they find him unconscious.

He believes that the police can trace the serial number on his key.  I informed him

that the police would NOT take the effor to trace a serial number unless he

was murdered.  (And, even though I didn't mention this to him, the police probably wouldn't -- 

they'd probably put his photo on the news with the hopes that someone would ID him.)

They only trace keys on TV shows.

This is assumed to be the explosion that I heard, but they didn't mention the time of event.

The belief is that it was caused by natural gas.  Later, they said it was around 6:15 so
