There were workman standing at the bottleneck between 2 subdivisions, just standing there
and talking, and, apparently, oblivious to the fact that they were blocking people coming through..

>>> 10:14a "Transplant" (Metacritic: 68, 40-90, #4)
Canadian show originally broadcast there in Feb.
A doctor from Syria has transplanted himself to Toronto, where, at first, he is only able
to get a job working in a restaurant.
~~ The character's last name starts with "Ha", as does the actor's first and last names,
and his boss at the hospital is played by and actor whose last name starts with "Ha".
~~ A truck conveniently plows into the restaurant, so the doctor gets to do some
emergency procedures. Conveniently, he wasn't seriously injured himself.
~~ But he WAS injured, and he's frantic about his 12-yr-old sister -- he has to pick
her up from night school. He runs all over looking for her. We did see him try to use
a phone at the hospital but it was for internal use only. It seems like they are
creating fake drama. Why would the girl not know some adult to go to for help?
~~ Most favorable critic thinks this could be the best show on this year, but it's
often stupid. But, I will probably still watch it.
~~ I thought it was about a hospital that focused on transplants, but the title is
all about the main character being a refugee. So, it's kind of like "The Good Doctor",
except, instead of having autism, he's from another country -- making people suspicious
about his abilities. Like that show, there are interns who are competing.
~~ Was it nothing but a coincidence that the ER chief was injured in the restaurant?

I had been ignoring his texts because he was getting very insulting yesterday, and I
also ignored his phone calls, but then he texted something slightly apologetic and
I took his call. He's looking for something to deal with documents and wants
to try to have a paperless office. I suggested he look at OneNote which he probably
already has on his new laptop.
