I started watching an episode that TiVo recorded on June 1, which is NOT usually the

day of the week the show was on.  I also saw that it was recorded at 3am.  I assumed

that the show had been preempted in primetime and was being shown at this odd day and

time.  But then I noticed that it was also on a different network: POP, which I don't

usually get.  And, when I started watching it, I found that it was a Spanish show

on Univision.  It recorded Ch4, which is Univision, not POP, but TiVo thought POP

was on Ch4.

~~  So, I've seen this kind of mix-up before -- with different channels.  But, this time,

instead of neglecting to record a show I wanted, it recorded a show that I didn't

want.  It was a rerun from Oct 1998.  BUT, for some strange reason, it listed the

stars of this previous incarnation of the show with the current stars names.

~~  The conclusion, after 15 mins of analysis, is that I hadn't missed recording

the episode I intended to watch.

I called there, they were upset because they are the 911 center.  Well, I had NOT dialed 911.

It seems like they should have a non-emergency number, but the impatient woman gave me the

impression that they have no interest in anything that isn't an emergency.

~~  The weird thing is that the receptionist at City Hall was able to look up the 

address and it was NOT the one on Google Maps.  But when I called the Checkers they

believe their address is the one that I consider incorrect, and that's also what's

on their website.

It's extremely difficult to correct mistakes on Google Maps when

businesses aren't answering their phones.  Photo shows a restaurant in the outlot 

of a strip mall but the pin is in the main building.  I called a furniture store

across the street and they confirmed that the restaurant had moved to the strip.

They said a new restaurant moved to the outlot, but Google Maps shows a grocery

store there called Quality Foods.  There is a Save A Lot grocery store at the

same address and their phone is disconnected, but the furniture store said

the Save A Lot is still across the street.

VT: Yesterday I noticed a Hobby Lobby pinned to a house and today I found a Hobby Lobby without

a pin and it seems to be where the pin is supposed to be.  It's 6 mi west of the wrong pin.

Surprisingly, Google informed me that they have approved my change almost immediately.

Unfortunately, it takes time for the change to actually get reflected on the map so I'll

have to check back later.

VT:  Found a pin on the fire dept in Ty Ty, GA, that said it was City Office, but I found

the City Hall about 500 south.  I moved the pin, but then I noticed that it actually

said Tifton City Office, so the name was wrong, or the name was right but I moved it

to the wrong place.  But then I noticed that the address was wrong, and the phone number

was out of service.  I wonder if I'll be able to get this straightened out.

took my breakfast to the patio at McD.

They said a man was shot near Kimball & Catalpa but they keep showing s Shell 

station with a square canopy and Olivia's Market. The Street View and aerial 

view of the Shell at Kimball & Foster shows a 3-hex canopy and no Olivia's.

But buildings across the street seem to match, although not shown clearly.

The report didn't say it, but I'm assuming that the man was able to drive 

3 blocks to the gas station, which is where his car was left.

I tried to find ticket status online and it said there were no tickets associated with

my number, but they also implied that that could be caused by cookies on my computer or

to a human who confirmed that there WAS an open ticket.  He ran a test and determined

that my line was working, but he wasn't able to say that their records indicated that

a specific problem was found and corrected.  Regardless, I had him cancel the ticket

since my phone seems to be working now.

I got a call on cell that said it was potential spam so I let it go to voice mail but

it was AT&T saying a technician will have my line cleared on July 12, but they gave a

time range of 8a-5p, implying a tech will be visiting.  Somehow, they seemed to have my

cell as an alternate line to call, either from a previous time, or, maybe they recorded

it as the line I reported the problem on.
