I was going to go to Einstein's, but after biking 1 mi around subdivision, I got in my
car and dashboard indicator said tire was low.  It was flat.  I managed to pump it up.

drove to Firestone on Ogden.  They said they were busy (since most repair places are
closed today) so it would be a few hours.  I had them check the pressure and it was
still low (because my gauge isn't so great).

The seafood restaurant went out of business.

Got notice about expired credit card refused for automatic payment.
Tried to login to website and, as usual, I get a message that a system error was
preventing login.  So I called.  It seems like I've been told before that if I don't
login at least once every 6 mo I'll be locked out, and they won't say that in the
error message because the supplier of their software considers it a security issue.

They gave me a temporary password and I had them stay on the line while I tried
it, but it didn't work either.  She called her manager over and it seems that she did
something wrong.

Pharmacist called insurance company and it was eventually determined that the Rx was
written for tablets, but the approval was for capsules.  Even though the capsules are
more expensive, Walgreen's isn't able to give me the tablets -- if I want the insurance
to pay their part.  How much is their part?  They can't tell me, because I don't have an
Rx for the capsules.  So, I decided to use a discount card instead of the insurance.

• It's about a vampire that gets younger as he drains the life out of children.  So, he doesn't turn other people into similar vampires.  And there is a 18-yr-old girl (played by a 26-yr-old) who seems to have some sort of mysterious powers  to find lost things that she doesn't understand.  The lost things are on the other side of a covered bridge that her father demolished years ago. Having the power might be nice if it didn't give her a splitting headache.

• Harsh critic said, "a shockingly unscary horror drama prone to ill-considered detours and over-explained supernatural  machinations, while wallowing in entirely too many blue-collar cliches and variable Massachusetts accents."  A more favorable critic noted that the acting is solid.

• I expect to keep watching.  The harsh critics seem to think that this has to be standard horror, but we've had plenty of such vampire stories.  And this is based on a successful book -- although maybe there was more horror in the book.  I don't understand how horror comes across from words on a page.

This is the 2nd episode and went back to look at my first take and it wasn't good.
It did complete it's short season, but it wasn't renewed.  The average rating in IMDB
was about 7.5 throughout, and the final episode had a bump to 8.2.

• One critic said, "a paint-by-numbers show if ever there was one." Most favorable review said, "It is consistently diverting and sometimes educational."  But, is it educational if you already know the stuff?  But he added that the characters  are easy to like, "as something approximating people."
