I've been having trouble using the TiVo app on my phone.  I thought it might have something

to do with momentary power outage this past weekend.  So, I rebooted modem and router and

TiVo and reinstalled the TiVo app, and it seemed to be working by displaying a list of

shows, but while I was trying to decide which show to start watching, the list disappeared

and it said "Reconnecting", showed spinners, and said "Internal Error"

When I tried it again, the error message didn't come up, but it is still seems unable to

connect.

It seems that even if I were to get it to work, I probably couldn't ever depend on it to work.

Ecological thriller about the delicate interconnectedness between mankind and Earth

that starts with odd things happening in the oceans.

~~  It seems to be a German production with an international cast and filmed in Italy and Belgium.

It seems that I'm not familiar with any of the actors on the show and there is a very large cast,

so, I'm going to have a difficult time keeping track, but there are recaps, so maybe those will help.

I had a momentary power outage yesterday morning.  TiVo was otherwise working, but

sometimes such outages confuse it, so I rebooted the TiVo, and that seems to have fixed it.

I was wearing a mask and the pharm tech said I wasn't required to.  He pointed out that

the sign is old.  I pointed out that COVID is going up.  He asked if I wanted him to wear 

a mask.  I told him this is only a couple mins so he doesn't have to, but when he saw that I

was wearing one, instead of telling me that I didn't have to, he should have put one on

without asking.  Also did some groc shopping.

I haven't been there since 2013, but Tony was just there and was bragging about how

it was a great bargain, but I don't know why he thought it was so cheap.  They did

He's planning on going camping alone near Clarksville, TN.  He also said that he took his 

old truck in for repairs and they tried to charge him more than he had authorized.

He discovered that they charged him for installing spark plugs.  He bought new

spark plugs, but he planned to install them himself.  So, I said thet maybe they 

misunderstood and thought you wanted them to install them.  So, that's still unresolved.

He also had a problem with dry cleaner.  It seem like the shirt was burned by iron.

Tony called the police, who determined that the clerk didn't know anything, so they

advised Tony to come back when the manager was there.  There was also a question about

if I asked their daughter about them being sick and I couldn't imagine what would have

precipitated the question, but she remembered more of the conversation, so it made sense.

When I got there, I brought up the app, but couldn't find my birthday reward.

The clerk thought maybe I had to click a button in the e-mail, which I did, and

~~  I also stopped at Xfinity store to ask about strange texts I've been getting from an

unknown number starting last night.  It just happened to resume while I was at Jimmy John's

but I don't know if using the app precipitated it, or if it was a coincidence.

Xfinity said they have nothing to do with the strange texts.

~~  One problem is that I got one of the texts while I was approaching my car in the

bright sunlight and I tried to just close it, but it seems that I accidentally hit

the "I'm here" button.  I don't know if that's going to cause a bunch of other problems.

The new one is now open but they do NOT have wi-fi;  There WAS an Xfinity signal but

it kept failing to connect.  I've seen that happen at other places.  I went outside and

in the back I was able to get a weak connection, but it worked.  

~~ I was able to display a QR code to get 25% off because this was the

first time using the app. Fortunately, the QR code remained on the

screen when I went inside. A lot of apps give up when the wi-fi signal

is lost, even though it shouldn't be needed again. The McD app is

particularly bad about that.

~~  Then, the entrees I wanted were NOT ready.  They said it would be 6 mins but they

ALWAYS underestimate the time.  Are they TAUGHT to do that?  In the end, everything did

work, but it was still frustrating.

which I already did.  I told the clerk that you can see that I have the app, and you know I

purchased the sandwich, so, forget about the QR code and just give me the fries.  They called

a higher manager on the phone and he OK'd it.

Another Canadian show.  This started showing in July, but I didn't notice that I hadn't

programed TiVo to record it, so I'm watching on CW app.

~~  Similar in concept to "Breeders" which I watched earlier today, but without the dark take

of the British show.  The kids are younger here.

~~  The mom has decided to go back to work and the family has a dinner to celebrate,

but it's hard to do when the kids won't sit still.  It's only the parents and 2 kids --

why would that be a celebration?  Why would they NEED a celebration?  And are the kids

behaving differently from last night, or the night before, or the night before?

~~  The show seems to want to imply that normal kids are relentlessly troublesome and

that the parents have no ability to do anything about it.  Despite this, the mom wants

another baby.  Since it's already finished it's 2nd season, it seems that people 

like the show, so I'll give it a chance.

swimming pool using limited information I extracted from an arial image on Google Maps, but

gave me lots of false information.  I probably wasted more than an hour.  I didn't note

when I started working on the problem.

A young, bold Canadian family takes a different approach to living life to the fullest in the suburbs.
