Prequel to "Supernatural" which was on for 15 seasons, but I only watched the first 2.

I don't expect to watch this series, but I'll check out the pilot.

It starts in 1972, about 33 years before the start of "Supernatural" which featured

2 brothers.  This is about their father as he got out of the Marines (after 2-yr stint).

The parents were portrayed by older actors on "Supernatural".

After he gets off the bus in the small town where he grew up, he starts walking

to his parents' house and literally bumps into the woman who we know he will

eventually marry.

Based on the 2011 murder of Betsy Faria which was originally pinned on her husband 

but a retrial soon revealed her co-worker Pam Hupp's involvement.

~~  I usually don't watch these kind of shows, because I've usually heard enough about 

them on the news, but I don't recall this case at all.

~~  One critic mentions  a "spirit of wry satire as it chronicles the grimly comical 

law enforcement ineptitude," so, I guess that came across in the commercials I've seen

and Renee Zellweger performance.  On the other hand, it seems like it may just be an

extended version of "Dateline", which covered it (but I never watch that show).

An inmate was convicted based on DNA evidence.  He had a bone marrow transplant as

a kid and it seems that the donor is the actual murderer.  Chimerism is very rare

but the chance that the donor is a criminal and that the one who received the

marrow would be caught seems to be even more unlikely than the chimerism.  Yet,

~~  I'll probably keep watching to see where it goes but this is a very confusing show.

Maybe that's the point, the lead character is confused, but why didn't the things in this

episode happen to him last week or last month.  That can be a problem with a lot of pilot

episodes but it seems more exaggerated here.  I could find only one recap and it wasn't

very good.

Also went to pickup Rx's.  There were only 2 people in line ahead of me.  I don't know how long the

guy at the head of the line had been there but he seemed to have one question after another for the

pharmacist and the customer seemed oblivious to the fact that there were people waiting behind him.

~~  I could see that the man who was 2nd in line was getting impatient, but when he got to the front,

he also had questions and he didn't seem to be accepting the answers.
