Bed-- 8:08a Up
-- 8:40a Leaving to bike, then get breakfast
-- 9:30a After biking 5 mi and talking to neighbor, tried to start car and it failed.
The starter was cranking but the engine wouldn't start.
-- 9:55a AAA said they'd be here in 25 mins
-- 10:00a Breakfast @home: PB&T
-- 10:21a Biked 1.5 mi and then the AAA guy arrived
He jumped it with a device that also tested the battery. He says it was reading 12.2
but 12.6 is needed to start the car. He didn't think that I needed a new battery.
It seems that pumping up bike tires yesterday in accessory mode might have been
a bit too much for the battery.
-- 10:28a The guy left and I biked 3.5 mi, while car continued running in garage to charge battery.
-- 10:58a Leaving to pickup dinner @Ghareeb Nawaz: Curry chicken
I was able to park right outside the storefront so I left the car running.
-- 12:00p Inside after biking 5 mi
-- 2:40p Finished reviewing tax forms and writing out checks
-- 3:00p Leaving to bike, then get dinner @McD: 2 fish sandwiches (one free for answering online survey)
After biking 5 mi, the car started, but it seemed to be having a little trouble.
After eating, the car wouldn't start on first try, but it started on the 2nd try.
I drove straight to the dealership, but the service department was already closed.
~~ I went to an oil change place, which was closing, but they don't have batteries.
They suggested O'Reilly's, saying they were open until 9p. But, on the way there
I was passing a Firestone and decided to pull in. I left the car running.
~~ They seemed hesitant, since it seems that they'd be closing soon, and, they
don't actually have the batteries there. I implied that I'd come back tomorrow
but I went to O'Reilly's.
~~ The guy said he could install it, but I'd have to wait until there were not
customers in the store. So, I waited and he was able to change the battery.
Luckily, the car did start. Now the question is will it start tomorrow.
~~ On the way, I saw a new restaurant, Jeff's Bagel Run, which is not yet open.
They're a chain, but this will be the first one north of North Carolina.
They do NOT seem to have sanwiches, just spreads. None of them have lox, and
if they did, I would assume its base would be cream cheese. I can't see
myself going there more than once. It's near the high school, so
I suspect it will only be successful if the students like the place.
-- 5:38p Inside; I started to bike but it was misty. (Total 20 mi today)
-- 6:11p "ET"
-- 7:13p ... "Animal Control"- (03/13/25)
-- 7:47p "Elsbeth" (03/13/25)
-- 9:35p "Going Dutch"- (03/13/25)
-- 10:37p "SNL"
In the cold open, the guest host played a character named Jennabelle.
2nd time today that Forrest Gump "box of chocolate" line was used.
They also mentioned cheese.
