There was a brief tornado touchdown 7.5 mi WSW of me this morning.

and it seems like the apps I had on the watch are also missing.  I have no idea if I accidentally

did something.  I know what my parka sleeves are able to select things.

I tried to start watching it earlier.  It said to watch a few ads first and then it will

be ad free.  So, it played a couple ads and then it quit, so I left for dinner.

This time, it repeated the same offer, but then the movie did start.

~~  A robotics engineer at a toy company builds a life-like doll that begins to take on a life of its own.

~~  The consensus is that its unapologetically silly and all the more entertaining for it, M3GAN is the rare 

horror-comedy that delivers chuckles as effortlessly as chills. 

~~  Of course, there are flaws that bother me a bit.  For instance, how much does M3GAN weigh?  This gets into

the physics about whether or not she could hold an adult down.  Even if her capacity to learn is nearly unlimited,

there would have to be physical limits to what she could do -- unless she was able to modify such things.

Given enough time, she COULD probably do that -- but that was NOT portrayed in the movie.

~~ One review talked about its "dynamic cast" and "fun plot".  Another metnioned the

"stellar chemistry".  But a less favorable review said it "come off as a one-dimensional 

photocopy of better films and TV shows."  Another said the main characters are

"too bland and underdeveloped to really carry a show."  

~~ The ads I've seen tend to make me feel that the harsher reviews are more accurate.

Some of them were able to return to 1988.  They could have chosen to stay there, but with the hope

The difference is that they knew where they were heading -- but they took NO SUPPLIES.

In Sept 2021 I binged the first 6 eps of this series but I was too sleepy to watch

the 7th before the free week ran out.  The problem is that it's a murder mystery and

I don't remember who was murdered or any other details.

~~  The plot is somewhat "incestuous" because the killer turns out to be the 

husband of the detective's best friend.

~~  As noted on Thurs, I couldn't watch "Hacks", but the star of that show,

Jean Smart, plays Mare's mom on this show.  It turns out that the murder weapon

was stolen from a guy who had had an affair with Mare's mom.  More incestuousness.

And it was stolen by the son of the murderer.

I was going to go to So Gong Dong Korean.  The last time I was by there, it was

closed for renovations, but it seems that it's now out of business.  So, I was going to

get a Korean dish at Noodles Pho U, and logged into their website as a guest but they

my e-mail.  I checked my file and couldn't find an account, so, I said I forgot my password.

They sent me an e-mail to open a page where I could enter a new password but it said

that I had already used that password.  So, I decided to give up.

After the show, producers talked about how they didn't want season 2 to seem like they

were just redoing more of season 1, and they described season 1 as being in the moment,

where seaons 2 would be more of a memory (of high school), althought it doesn't seem

to be explicit.  They asked Kodak to produce Ektachrome stock for them.  It's a

slide film -- not a negative film.  But I wouldn't say I noticed a difference.

Ektachrome had been discontinued due to lack of demand.
