>>>   6:07p  "Tell Me a Story" (07/28/20)
An anthology series featuring beloved fairy tales told in a new way.  It was originally
available 2 years ago on CBS All Access website.
~~  The 1st episode has subtle hints of "Red Riding Hood" and "The Three Little Pigs",
but all of the characters are human.  The pigs are bank robbers who wear pig masks.
~~  There are characters named Dan and JorDAN, and actors named Dan, DANielle, DANia, and
one whose last name is GulDAN.
~~  Rita was played by Jennifer Ikeda -- but I didn't notice the character.
~~  I would probably have missed most of the fairy tale references if the description
of the series didn't mention it.
~~  Harsh critic said, "The characters are lifeless composites with little or no reason to care about what they’re doing."
~~  I thought the same actors would be playing different characters is subsequent episodes but
a quick look at the cast list online shows they're playing the same characters, but they seem
to get involved in different fairy tale story lines each week.  The various stories are slightly
intertwined.  Red Riding Hood meets the "wolf" at a bar where one of the bank robbers is working
as a bartender.
~~  If they were different characters each week, I probably wouldn't watch, but I'll probably
watch the next episode.
