One reason is far-fetched scenes, like the first one in this episode, where the

main detective is driving and suddenly, a distressed girl, covered in blood, 

runs right in front of the detective's car.  This isn't just an incident that

the police would handle, but she's part of a missing person's case -- which is

the subject that this show covers.

The father of one of the doctors was visiting and I didn't recognize the actor as

having been a primary character on 51 episodes of "Being Erica" 15 years ago.

(I watched it more recently -- but that's when it first aired.)
