I watched the first season of "You" on Lifetime, but it's moving to Netflix :<

Continues the series that had ended in 2002.  The characters have aged only 10 years.

• The lead female had left town and is now just returning.   But her backstory has changed.  She's now the daughter of illegal aliens.  On her way back into town to see her father, she conveniently bumps into her HS boyfriend -- who is an extra-terrestrial -- but she doesn't know that.  He happens to be a cop now.    But is he also an illegal alien?  The sheriff has the same last name, but is now a woman.

• The best part of the original series was the theme song, but this one, like most new shows, has no theme song.

• The original show was based on a series of books and I didn't realize that the lead female had been "whitewashed".  She was Hispanic in the books, but I don't know how that was reflected in the plots.

• Critics says that the older characters are still stuck acting like they're are in high school.
