The supervisor, who I think is probably one of the 2 workmen's father, was furious
when he saw how little they accomplished. He needs a wider hole to do his work.
I head him say he could have done what they took 2 days to do in 45 mins.
He immediately cut one of the deck joists to make more room to work. The
assumed son told him that he shouldn't have just left them alone, but the
supervisor said he had another job.
~~ I asked if the expected weather is going to be a problem and he said he didn't
think so.

They have additional workman in the basement working on cutting around where
the drain exits the foundation. I'm assuming they need to install the new
cleanout and reseal it before it starts raining significantly.
-- 8:40a Leaving for breakfast @McD: apple raisin oatmeal + sausage biscuit
-- 9:45a Inside after biking 1&1
-- 10:30a - 10:38a County inspector came; He's only able to do a partial approval.
The final approval doesn't need to be done for 90 days. It turns out that the
water pipe that was adjacent to the drain pipe was NOT active.
-- 10:56a "Kelly & Ryan"; Biked another mile.
-- 11:45a Light drizzle is starting, but the hole is covered up.
They're working to finish the foundation seal from the inside.
-- 12:00p They seemed to have left without saying anything. However, in
addition to the rain coming, they normally go to lunch around this time.

so I'm leaving for dinner: Cousins Subs: turkey & ham club with creamy chicken soup,
This one is nearby and new. I could have gone to an all-you-can-eat buffet for the same price. The last time I was at a Cousins was in 2003 in Naperville. I wasn't impressed either time. The Milwaukee-based chain is planning a large expansion in the Chicago area.

The owner is Indian and he said he doesn't like the Indian buffet in the strip mall next door. That's because it's not authentic enough for him -- but I don't care about that.
He recommended a place in Bloomingdale, 14 miles away (21 mins on toll road). It seems that it opened only a couple months ago.
I asked if he ever heard of Panda Express and he had, and I told him if he's looking-- 7:40p Inside after biking 1&1 and talking with neighbor.
for an idea, he should open an Indian version of Panda Express. But he didn't seem to
be taking that idea as a serious possibility -- it couldn't be *real* Indian food.
He doesn't seem to understand that that is NOT something most Americans will care about.
