I realized that my cellphone wasn't in my den, where I would usually place it, but
the most likely place is in my pants pocket.  I found it there -- except it's usually
in the same pocket with my wallet and my wallet was missing.  I looked at the passenger
seat of my car, but it wasn't there and then I started panicking.  Did it fall on the
floor somewhere?

But then I looked in my other pants pocket and found it.  I then
remembered that, after I had taken my pants off, I took the wallet out to reinsert
a credit card that was in my vest pocket, and, apparently, when I returned the
wallet to my pants pocket, I had picked the other pair of pants.
