It seems that the main theory in the society is that everyone belongs in one of 5 factions

and that maintaining that order will eliminate war and violence -- but that concept doesn't

make much sense.  It takes place in a future Chicago, but it probably doesn't make sense that

certain iconic buildings still exist.
