I thought it was my building's fire alarm.  

On Dec 7, the association inspected the fire alarms.  I was told that my detector was working

but the noise-making unit wasn't.  So, when I heard a buzzing that was not that loud, it didn't

surprise me.

~~  I went outside to see if other neighbors were outside but none were.  The strobe light that

normally flashes when there is an alarm was NOT flashing, but the control box was beeping.

-- 12:22p  I called the management company and reported the problem, but while I was on hold

I was looking around and determined that the sound was actually coming from my 3rd bedroom, and

it was apparently coming from a very old carbon monoxide detector that plugs into an outlet.

~~  There had been a momentary power outage -- I could tell because I saw my TiVo reset.

I'm assuming that that was what triggered the CO detector.

~~  When I got off hold, I reported that it seems to be a false alarm -- it was NOT

the building's alarm that went off.

~~  The maintenance rep on our board called me back -- he's in Tampa -- I didn't realize that.

He focused on the noise-maker that has NOT been fixed since the inspection in Dec.

been repaired, so they'll be looking into that.

of this cascade of things.

I bought shrimp kow yesterday, and when I took it out of the microwave the plastic tray collapsed

and it fell on the floor.
