A neighbor happened to be coming out of his house  and I asked him he got the alert.

He didn't have his phone on him.  He had been having trouble with his printer so I asked if he

wanted me to look at it.

~~  The first problem is that it's a MacBook, not a Windows machine.  He gave me the 

instruction booklet and it did NOT contain setup instruction, but he found a separate card that

had the setup instructions, but that required getting software online, which, presumably, he had

already downloaded, since his printer had worked when he first got it.

~~   My eyeglasses are not suitable for attempting to read his screen from over his shoulders and

I got tired of trying to figure out what he might need, so I left.
