VT:  When I got to the Talmadge Memorial Bridge I noticed some pillars that, at first

looked like they were planning to build an additional ramp, but then I realized they were

probably remains of the previous bridge.  I found a quote online that many of the piers 

of the old bridge still stand because "the cost of removing the old bridge was greater than 

the cost of erecting the new bridge."

VT: I had "taken" US-80 from Stateboro to Savannah.  Now I jumping to the end of US-80

on Tybee Island and then I'll head back to Savannah.  I'm actually starting 1/3 mi

south of the start of US-80, at the south end of the island.
