-- 10:00p  I switched to my older TiVo and there is a screen that I've never seen before.

It says it's checking for updates.  It says if an update is needed, a message will appear

on the screen within 20 seconds.  If no message appears with 20 seconds, the bos is up to

date and there is nothing you need to do.  But several minutes have gone by and the

same screen is there.

~~   It seems that the message was on Channel 1995.  So, I don't know if I did something

to switch to that channel.  I switched the channel and everything seemed OK.  Maybe

TiVo triggered it in response to the problem I had with the channel line up.
