-- 10:40a  ... "Last Man Standing" (05/06/21)

>>> 11:16a  "Rebel" (04/08/21)  (Metacritic: 57, 10-78, #7)
Inspired by Erin Brockovich's life, but with a fictional character.
~~  The promos haven't gotten me interested and it seems that it hasn't been renewed.

~~ Most favorable review says, "A strong ensemble. Quick witted
dialogue. Interesting cases. Romantic entanglements. Interpersonal
strife. A force to be reckoned with lead. She’s a rebel with a cause and
she’s a delight to watch."
~~  Another said, the "eries tells you what it's thinking and feeling to an
exhausting degree, barks out its iconoclastic ideology at every turn and
still somehow ends up feeling like an entertaining broadcast TV
throwback. Credit there goes to Vernoff's smart structuring of the story
and an outrageously good cast
~~  But harshest critic said it, "is merely a boorish bore"

~~  There are supposedly thousands of people that have gotten sick from a
bad heart valve, but the ONLY way they can get justice is if the title character
can get a specific lawyer (the husband of her late best friend) to take the case,
which he says is unwinnable.
~~  Pilot episodes often try to squeeze too much in, but it's hard not to be
turned off by it.  Too much is too convenient and too much doesn't make much sense,
and I have no reason to care if she eventually wins the case.  I don't plan to watch it.
