>>> 12:38p "East New York" (Metacritic: 67, 63-70, #4)
One review said it "seeks to bring the cop show into the 21st century."
I've been ignoring most cop shows. I didn't watch "Hill Street Blues" or "Chicago PD".
I gave up on "Blue Bloods" after the 1st season.
~~ I was easily able to find the location of the opening scene on Google Maps at
Livonia Ave & Ashford St.
~~ They closed the case but I don't really care about any of the details. I don't know if
I should bother giving this show a chance. Are NYC criminals required to keep their
activities within a precinct?
-- 1:02p - 1:34p Carla called on her way to pickup Jeremy & Alison at the airport.
-- 3:40p Leaving via bike for dinner @Mission BBQ: pulled pork
It seemed warm enough on the way there but there seemed to be a cold headwind on the way back.
So, after 4 mi, I was home and put on my jacket and biked another 4 mi around subdivision.
I think I'm going to stop eating BBQ -- it's gotten too expensive and it's just not worth that much.
-- 5:09p Inside; Total 16 mi today
-- 5:33p Finally called the Alumni Assoc who has been sending me cards for a month about their
desire to update records and take an oral history, but I can't imagine that they will be using any
of my answers. They were really trying to sell a package of the actual history together with
a tote bag and sweatshirt but I declined.
-- 5:36p "Inside Edition"; There was a Jenny on "Jeopardy".
Another contestant got the final answer correct except for the last syllable of the
5-word answer, which he just didn't have time to complete, so he came in last place,
but he wouldn't have won anyway.

>>> 7:59p "Family Law"
One critic said, "It’s a light-hearted legal drama that is fine but totally unessential."
I'm not sure what would make any specific show "essential".
~~ This Canadian show has a father-daughter legal team. Another such (US) show was "Bluff City Law"
where the father was Jimmy Smits, and I just saw him on "East New York" today.
~~ There is an actress named Genelle and a guest actress, Jennifer Robertson
~~ The law firm seems to be in the Marine Building in downtown Vancouver.
In 1930 it was the tallest building (22 stories) in the British Empire. I didn't
realize that it was also used as the Daily Planet building in "Smallville".
~~ I suppose I'll keep watching, although it's often silly.
