I tried to pause TiVo, but it wouldn't respond even though the remote was working a minute earlier.

I re-seated the batteries, but, before I did that, I muted the TV -- but I had trouble finding

the mute button -- since there are only icons.  So, it was complicated because I was also trying

to answer the phone at the same time.

They forgot to give coupon price and couldn't seem to figure out the refund, so

they just gave me $2 back.

--   8:00p  I started noticing my laptop speakers were crackling and I asked 

Copilot if they need to be cleaned.  It said that was the least likely reason.

One of the suggestions was to try earbuds.  I should have thought about that myself.

The crackling was NOT on the earbuds, but when I unplugged the earbuds, the problem

with the speakers went away, so it's a software problem.  Now, I'm waiting to see

if the problem comes back and then I can try changing settings to see if that fixes it

permanently.
