-- 12:30p Bed
-- 7:30a Up
-- 7:55a Going downstairs for breakfast; scrambled eggs, very fatty bacon, biscuit & gravy
There was no one else in the dining area.
-- 8:45a Leaving hotel to tour Appleton before it starts raining.
-- 10:57p Stopped @McD for a soda, but I noticed that, on the app,
fries are free if you buy a soda, so I got that.
-- 2:40p Finishing up with Manitowoc.
It had started to drizzling about 2:10p. but very little. Heading to Sheboygan
-- 3:12p Arrived at a McD parking lot in Sheboygan; Stayed in car.
There is moderate rain and there just was a huge thunderbolt -- but only one.
On the way from Manitowoc on I-43 there was some lightning at a distance
but I didn't hear any thunder. There was a huge downpour and traffic in the
right lane slowed down to 40 mph. I stayed a large distance bethind a truck.
Some people were parking on the shoulder under underpasses,
-- 3:18p I'm able to connect to wi-fi from the parking lot at the
McDonald's but the rain is still fairly heavy and the
weather report says it's likely to continue for another hour and a half.
-- 3:40p Arrived at a place called Al & Al's Stein Haus
because every other place seems to close early -- they're open until 6p.
But, it's just a bar and the kitchen is closed. But, at least, the rain has stopped
earlier than expected, so, I'll just continue my tour if I can get my bearings.
-- 4:35p Finished touring Sheboygan Falls, I could only see the dam. There was
a chain across the entrance to the falls viewing spot and a sign that said "no tresspassing".
I asked some locals about it, but none could explain.
-- 4:47p Arrived at Tony's favorite place, The American Club in Kohler.
Took photo of the garden and left.
-- 5:45p Arrived for dinner @The Spices Indian restaurant in Sheboygan: chicken kadai,
since it seemed to be the only place open that wasn't fast food.
-- 7:28p After stopping for gas, headed home.
On the way to the interstate, I noticed the low-gas indicator had come on.
I expected to find a gas station near the interchange, but there was none.
Luckily, there was a couple of gas stations there.
-- 10;00p Home
Ramp from I-294 to I-88 was closed. Normally, I'd cloverleaf at Mannheim but
there was an accident on I-290, so I just took Roosevelt Rd.
-- 10:12p Skim Ch5 news
-- 11:51p "Seth Meyers"
